Open your Google Business Profile (search your business name on Google while logged in), tap "Ask for reviews", and copy the link. That link takes customers straight to the โ โ โ โ โ box. No searching, no scrolling. It takes 2 minutes, and every business should have it saved somewhere handy.
You already know reviews matter. The hard part is that when you ask a customer "please review us on Google", you're actually asking them to do five things: open Google, search your business name, find your profile, scroll to the reviews, and find the write-a-review button. Most people give up somewhere around step three. Not because they don't like you, but because it is homework.
A direct review link collapses all of that into one tap. The customer clicks, the star rating box opens, they're done in 30 seconds. If you only do one thing from this article, get this link.
Already have your Google Place ID (or found it with Google's own Place ID Finder)? Skip the steps below and use our free Google Review Link Generator โ paste it in, get your direct review link instantly.
Method 1: From Google Search (easiest)
- On your phone or computer, make sure you're logged in to the Google account that manages your Business Profile.
- Search your business name on Google. Your profile panel will appear with management options.
- Look for the button that says "Ask for reviews". Tap it.
- Google shows a short link, something like g.page/r/AbC123XyZ/review. Copy it.
Method 2: From Google Maps
- Open the Google Maps app and find your own business listing.
- If you manage the profile, you'll see a "Get more reviews" card. Tap it and Google gives you the same share link.
Save the link in three places right now: your phone's notes app, your WhatsApp "message yourself" chat, and wherever you keep passwords. You will need it again and again: printed QR codes, Instagram bio, bill footers.
Now the part nobody tells you
Having the link is step one. The link doesn't get you reviews. Sending it at the right moment does. A review link on a laminated card at the counter gets ignored. The same link, arriving on the customer's WhatsApp an hour after a great meal or a fresh haircut, gets used.
Here's a message template that works, in case you want to send it manually:
"Hi Priya! Thank you for visiting us today ๐ If you enjoyed it, would you mind sharing your experience on Google? It genuinely helps our small business: [your link]"
Friendly, short, one link. That's the whole science. The catch? You have to remember to send it. Every customer, every day, at the right time, after the visit but before they forget you. On a busy Saturday, that's the first thing that falls off the list. And an unsent review link earns exactly zero reviews.
Or let FiveNudge do the sending
FiveNudge sends the thank-you, your Google review link, and one gentle reminder on WhatsApp, from your own business number, automatically. You just serve customers.
